I received a couple good emails from some faithful readers, so I thought I'd share them with you today. Also, I'm looking forward to covering, in person, along with my famous son, fellow blogger "Raul Mondesi" of Mondesi's House the Pitt- Syracuse game. Speaking of college football, isn't it great to finally see Penn State playing a game against a real opponent? I liked that interview that was done with Wanny this week where he basically said that as long as Paterno's there they'll never play Penn State.

Dave no one at Pitt really cares anymore. What glory is there playing a school in the lousy Big 10 conference that only schedules cupcake non-conference games otherwise? I say, let them play Temple and be done with them and their lily-white uniforms forever! This from a guy that used to love going to these games every year...

Let's get on with some humor!

From A.C., a faithful reader in the North Hills...

How true is that? Then there's this golf classic from my old friend Don...

It was a sunny morning, a little before 8:00 am, on the first hole of a busy course, and I was beginning my pre-shot routine, visualizing my upcoming shot when a piercing voice came over the club house loud speaker,

'Would the gentleman on the woman's tee back up to the men's tee please!'

I could feel every eye on the course looking at me. I was still deep in my routine, seemingly impervious to the interruption.

Again the announcement,'Would the man on the woman's tee kindly back up to the men's tee.'

I simply ignored the guy and kept concentrating, when once more, the man yelled,

'Would the man on the woman's tee back up to the men's tee, please!'

I finally stopped, turned, cupped my hands and shouted back towards the loudspeaker:'

Would the a**hole with the microphone please be quiet and let me play my second shot!!!'

Oh man have I ever been there!

Of course, there are whiffs and then there are whiffs!

Then finally there's this little nugget that I found the other day that describes Americans' view of the world I noticed that there's not even a continent of Africa on this map. Is that by accident or design?

Have a great weekend! Go Pitt, Go Steelers, Go Penguins, Go Buckeyes!
